Pastor - Robert Shelton
Robert has served as pastor of FBC since September, 1990 following his graduation from Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, TX where he earned a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languarges. Saved at age 14 and called into the ministry six months later, Robert began preparations for ministry at Southwest Baptist University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Regilious Studies and English in May, 1983. Robert met Sandy at SBU and they were married January, 1982. He served as Associate Pastor and Minister of Youth at Sycamore Hills in Independence, MO from 1983 to 1987. Robert and Sandy have three children and five grandchildren. His favorite Bible verse is John 14:6, "Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through Me.'"

Youth Pastor - Aaron Gudde
Aaron has served as Youth Pastor since October, 2017. Aaron came to know the Lord through FBC, Lathrop and was baptized in 1995. Aaron’s family joined FBC, Plattsburg in June, 1996. He was an active member of the FBC youth until he graduated from Plattsburg High School in 2005. Aaron attended Northwest Missouri State University and graduated with a BS in Agriculture Education. While in college Aaron meet and married Megan Barnes in July of 2008. After graduating, Aaron taught at Hillyard Technical Center in St. Joseph from 2010-2014. Aaron taught Industrial Technology at PHS from 2014-2020. He has been coaching multiple sports since 2008. Aaron taught industrial arts at Benton High School 2020-21. He began teaching at Hamilton High School in 2021. Aaron & Megan have six children: Remington, Addison who is with the Lord, Emerson, Gipson, Macklynn and Ellison. In the spring of 2016 Aaron shared with the church that God had called him to ministry. In October, 2016 FBC licensed him to the Gospel Ministry.

Worship Leader - Sandy Shelton
Sandy has served as worship leader since November, 2001. Besides leading the ensemble and worship, she directs the choir in a musical presentation each Easter and Christmas. She attended Southwest Baptist University where she met Robert. She has worked for an eye doctor and a dentist in the past so SMILE the next time you SEE her. She has worked as a para for CCR3 School district since 2016 Their three children only attended school in one district - Plattsburg. They have two granddaughters and three grandsons. She likes to think of worship as "choir practice for heaven" so have you been to "rehearsal" lately? Sandy's favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Him [Christ] who strengthens me."
