AWANA is a program for children age 3 (by August 1st) through 6th grade on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:45 PM during the school year.
Children are grouped by age and grade. AWANA uses the elements of games and activities, Bible memorization, handbooks and awards. The dues each week are $.50 per child with an additional expense for uniforms, books and bag.
2020-21 AWANA COVID-19 Policies
- Masks - Children and adults will wear masks unless able to distance by at least 6' minimum.
- Drop off - Parents will drop off children at the southeast entrance between 6:15 - 6:30. Only AWANA clubbers and AWANA workers will enter the building. Each child and worker will have temperature check before entering the building. Cubbies (Preschool) and Sparks (Kindergarten age only) will be escorted to their classroom.
- Children will NOT have an large group opening this fall.
- Pick up - Parents will wait outside the southeast doors at 7:45 for children to be dismissed. Cubbies (Preschool) and Sparks (Kindergarten - 2nd grade) will only be released to parents/guardians approved to pickup children.
- Cancellation policy – AWANA will follow the
CCR3 school schedule for most but NOT all cancellations.
- TextCaster is a free notification system that FBC uses. At least ONE parent/guardian is required to sign up for TextCaster to receive updates regarding AWANA.
- AWANA fees may be paid by cash or check, through the FBC website (Giving tab) or by downloading and using the church's free giving app called Generosity by LifeWay available through the App Store or Google Play Store.
- A free meal may be offered for AWANA clubbers from 6:00 - 6:20 PM if there is enough interest. More information to come.
- There will be NO Joyful Noise choir for 2020-21 school year.

AWANA GRAND PRIX Weather/schedule permitting, AWANA Grand Prix (pinewood derby) may be held on a Saturday in late February or early March. Date will be determined upon defining the dates of other potentially conflicting scheduled school and/or church activities, the dates of which are not yet known. |
